Plans and Information
The pool is 10 metres by 4 metres with Roman steps at one end. The water is cleaned using a bionet salt-water
system so the water tastes very slightly salty. It is 1.75 metres at the deep end and a little over a metre at the bottom of the Roman steps. The pool is alarmed so
that if anybody or anything over 5 kg falls in it disturbs the water and the alarm goes off. There is internal lighting for night-time swimming.
The pool is surrounded by paving slabs and at the one side and the Roman steps end there is a large expanse with plenty of room for sunloungers and a dining table and chairs. There are two 'street' lights on the far side of the pool. In the old barn wall behind the pool there are lights in the three original windows which give light on to the pool patio and on to the walled courtyard. There is a plug on the wall should you wish to bring anything electrical outside.
The garden is all grass giving plenty of room for children to play. There is plenty of room to put in a vegetable patch or a boules court. We've considered doing both over the years but never quite got round to it! There is a lovely weeping willow in the middle of the garden under which is a bench - a wonderful place to sit out of the sun.
There are various shrubs and small trees along the top of the bank which shields the garden and the pool from the lane. Having said that there are only the neighbours and the occasional delivery person who uses the lane.
There is a large garden shed which houses the machinery for the pool. It has electricity connected to it and a plug outside if required.
